The Gilbert Baker Foundation exists to protect the Pride Flag and the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. Recently, over 50 cities across the U.S. created legislation banning Pride Flags from public spaces. So, we created an Augmented Reality Pride Flag to get around the bans, one that no one could take down, and one that allowed the community to feel empowered yet allowed them to protest without fear of violence. This sparked a digital movement using the AR Flags on TikTok and Instagram. Invisible flags helped result in the reversal of bans in California, Florida New Jersey, and Maryland.
